Will It Be Lucky 21 For Black Caviar ?

Champion mare Black Caviar will attempt to make it 21 wins from 21 runs in the Goodwood on Saturday, before heading to the UK and Royal Ascot.

Champion mare Black Caviar will attempt to make it 21 wins from 21 runs in the Goodwood on Saturday, before heading

to the UK and Royal Ascot.

Current betting for the Goodwood has the superstar mare as short as 1.03 to win and many

bookies including IASbet are betting without Black Caviar to attract more interest from punters.

Jockey Luke Nolen is

supremely confident of another success for Black Caviar and said after riding out the mare this week: “The work was first

class and anyone who goes to Morphettville on Saturday won’t be disappointed.”

Black Caviar has drawn barrier eight

in the nine-horse field and for Nolen that only presents more options.

“I can do whatever I want from there and I

can keep her out of trouble, more importantly,” Nolen said.

Black Caviar is a racing legend already and Nolen

described the mare as a “rock star” and sure enough Morphetville will be rocking with a sell out crowd of 30 000 for

Saturday’s meeting.

Black Caviar is being aimed at the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at the Royal Ascot meeting in the UK

and is generally odds on with UK bookmakers for the race. Jockey Nolen believes that the Goodwood will prime Black Caviar for

the Diamond Jubilee saying:”I think she is going to go over there close to peak fitness…People will be in for a real treat

at the Royal meeting at Ascot.”

Many racing fans in the UK will be looking forward to watching Black Caviar in the

flesh and hopefully this weekend will be number 21 in the bag for Black Caviar.
