Eurovision 2019 Betting Tips & Free Bets

Eurovision has been thrilling Australian audiences for over half a century, but 2019 will mark its fifth year as a participant following entry in 2015.

It’s set to be another exciting year in the competition, with the winner being crowned in just a few weeks time on May 18.

Eurovision Betting 2019

The stakes are high for the 41 nations competing, and the bookmakers are already eyeing up which nation is likely to be crowned Eurovision Winner 2019.

This year’s competition takes place in Tel Aviv with two Semi Finals and a Final, beamed all across the world.

Australia will be hoping to improve on their 20th place finish last year, although it’s the Netherlands who are currently the favourite among the Eurovision odds.

The Dutch haven’t won the competition since 1975, but in Duncan Laurence that have a real chance. The bookmakers are pricing him at 7/4, ahead of the Swiss, Russia, Italy and Iceland.

The Eurovision 2019 Favourites:

The Netherlands – 7/4

Switzerland – 5/1

Russia – 6/1

Italy – 10/1

Iceland – 12/1

Sweden – 12/1

Cyprus – 14/1

Eurovision Schedule

Countries have already been through a number of events to crown their Eurovision candidate and now, for most, just two more performances separate them from victory.

The event, at Expo Tel Aviv, gets underway with the Semi Finals on May 14 and 16, before finishing with the Final on May 18.

Five nations automatically qualify for the Final, as the main funders of the competition, these being France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, with 36 nations, including Australia, having to compete in the Semis to qualify. 26 countries will then compete in the Final.

Eurovision Australia Contestant 2019

Australia have had a good run in the competition so far, with last year’s 20th place finish being their only result outside he top 10.

2016 saw the country finish second and Kate Miller-Heidke will be looking to go one further this year with her song, Zero Gravity. The singer is one of the most successful artists taking part in the competition this year having achieved three top 10 charting albums as well as receiving high acclaim on the stage, most notably in Jerry Springer: The Opera.

The bookmakers are pricing Australia at 50/1 however and a real outside shot alongside 2011 winners Azerbaijan, Slovenia and the United Kingdom.
